Today marks the 48th Anniversary of the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, a landmark piece of legislation that helped move our nation closer to the Founders' vision of a place where "all men are created equal."

Last night we advanced to the general election in November. We are now a major step closer to victory thanks to your hard work and support.

This time tomorrow, polls will be open in the primary election for the 41st Congressional District. Even with the new California primary system, we are confident that your support has put us in position to advance to the real showdown in November.

In the upcoming weeks, volunteers from my campaign will be greeting voters at their doors, reaching them by phone, and mobilizing them to vote in the June 5 primary.
